Gao Yunxiang posts cryptic picture of wife online?

A week after applying to lift bail restrictions on his wife, Chinese actress Xuan Dong, Chinese actor Gao Yunxiang, also known as Gavin Gao, appeared to have posted a single picture of his wife online, to the confusion of netizens.

On Sunday afternoon, the keyword, “Gao Yunxiang posts picture of Xuan Dong” rose up the trending searches on Weibo. It turned out that an anonymous netizen had shared what appeared to be a post from the actor on his friend circle in WeChat. Posts made on one’s friend circle are restricted to the user’s friends on WeChat.

In the picture shared by the anonymous netizen, Yunxiang had posted a single picture of Xuan Dong staring into the camera, with an emoji of a smiling sun as his caption.

Though the actor nor his agency has yet to confirm if the account really belongs to the actor, as the profile picture of the account is a shot of the couple’s baby daughter, netizens took the post at face value. They then began debating if the cryptic post was the 36-year-old’s way of denying that their marriage was in trouble, after Xuan Dong was spotted without her wedding band on at an event.

Yunxiang was in Sydney filming a TV series called Love in Aranya when he and Chinese producer Wang Jing were accused of sexual assault against a female production crew member at the Shangri-La hotel after the wrap party. He is currently in Sydney as the court case proceeds.
