Gillian Chung is reportedly getting married next month

upcoming nuptials with her fiancé, Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai, after Michael’s high-profile proposal video went viral on the internet at the start of the year.

Insiders reveal that the couple plans to hold their wedding ceremony in Los Angeles, USA, on May 25, after the 37-year-old singer wraps up her last ‘Twins’ concert gig in Toronto on May 22. The plans were reportedly made after they sought the opinions of both their parents, and received the go-ahead to hold their ceremony in America.

According to reports, their wedding photos will be taken a few days before the ceremony, and the couple plans to hold a second wedding ceremony in Hong Kong at a later date.

Gillian and Michael also intend to bear the full cost of NT$3.37 million (approximately S$151,000) for accommodation and flight tickets for the hundred celebrity friends and family members currently on their guest list.

Fellow Twins member, Charlene Choi, Hong Kong singer Joey Yung and Macau casino heiress Laurinda Ho will be attending the wedding, and will be Gillian’s bridesmaids on her special day.

While the ‘Twins’ singer originally shared her plans to move to Taiwan after their marriage, it is said that Michael will now commute between Hong Kong and Taiwan instead, as he is worried that Gillian will find it hard to adapt to life in Taiwan after moving over.

Gillian started dating Michael in September last year, and went public a month later after news of their budding romance got out.
