Taiwanese actor Godfrey Gao denied engagement rumours that surfaced two days ago on February 6, which revealed he had tied the knot secretly with his rumoured non-celebrity girlfriend Bella last July.
According to reports, Bella’s real name is Su Xiang Han and is 21-years-old this year, twelve years younger than the 33-year-old actor. She was also revealed to be attending a prestigious school and hails from a wealthy family.
The pair was revealed to have met with the help of former basketball star Mao Jia En and hit it off because their personalities matched.
Netizens speculated that the two were dating after Bella posted pictures of Godfrey’s pet dog, Theodore, on her Instagram several times.
Godfrey’s manager has since stepped up to deny all rumours, claiming that Godfrey is busy with work and will spend any free time he has resting, giving him no time to date.
“He has several good friends he talks to, but has not achieved the level of stability required to get engaged,” his manager revealed.
Godrey also shared in previous interviews that he was not seeing anyone.
The 33-year-old actor shot to fame in 2016 Chinese drama Remembering Wang Lichuan, and was nicknamed the “nation’s husband” after that.
He also consistently place ranks in American film critics group TC Chandler’s annual list of “100 Most Handsome Faces”, and made his American film debut in action-adventure film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in 2013.
