Taiwanese singer Harlem Yu tied the knot with his wife, Taiwanese newscaster Jinny Chang in 2016, and welcomed their first child, a baby girl nicknamed ‘Honeydew' in June 2017. In July this year, it was reported that Jinny is expecting their second child, and is due to give birth in November.
At that time, Harlem declined to confirm or deny the news, and would only share through his manager that he would share more news in the future.
Recently, the 57-year-old took to his Facebook to update his fans, posting a picture together with a friend after what seemed like a bike ride.
“One must exercise even during confinement! Accidentally twinning with someone else even when riding my bicycle!,” he wrote in his caption, indirectly confirming that Jinny had given birth.
According to reports, Harlem had rejected a number of work commitments last year when Jinny was in confinement following the birth of their first child. Although it was said that he had lost out on a considerable amount of money due to his decision, Harlem was overjoyed to be able to spend time with his family.
Jinny reportedly gave birth on November 22 to a baby boy. As with his first child, Harlem has taken a short hiatus from work to care for his family, though he has not posted anything mentioning the new addition to his family until now.
Harlem was formerly married to Annie Yi, with whom he has a 16-year-old son, Harrison Yu. The couple filed for divorce in 2009 and are currently attached to different people – Annie married Chinese actor Qin Hao in 2015 while Harlem married Jinny in 2016.
