Huang Xiaoming reunites with Vicki Zhao

The first season of the cooking reality show, Chinese Restaurant, which premiered in July last year, was a hit amongst viewers, with the second season currently being filmed in Colmar, France.

Pictures of the celebrity guests, such as Chinese actress Vicki Zhao, as well as Taiwanese actress Shu Qi and Taiwanese actor Alec Su and more in France have surfaced online, as Chinese netizens spotted them filming for the show.

Recently, however, a number of pictures showing Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, who featured on the first season of Chinese Restaurant, in France, together with some of the cast members for the second season have been circulating online.

In one of the pictures, Xiaoming can be seen together with Alec shopping for groceries together. In the second one, Xiaoming and Vicki can be seen rushing forward, about to break into a run, with netizens joking that the “diet duo” have reunited once more after a nine-month break.

A couple of netizens then guessed that Xiaoming may be guesting on an episode of the show as a special guest judge, to share his experience on the first season of Chinese Restaurant with the new ‘recruits’, amping up anticipation amongst fans of the show.

In other news, the show recently released news that they have managed to invite Chinese actor Zhang Tie Lin, who played the emperor in the wildly popular Chinese drama series My Fair Princess, which shot Vicki and Alec to fame. This will mark the first time the trio have reunited on-screen in twenty years.
