A week after it was first reported that Taiwanese model-actress Hannah Quinlivan had given birth to her second child, a boy, the 23-year-old’s husband, Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou uploaded a picture of his wife with their two kids on Facebook late last night, confirming the reports.
“Haha, ‘Past Life Lover’ was not nominated, in the future, we’ll have to rely on Mummy’s lover from a past life to help avenge his sister,” Jay wrote in his post, taking on the character of his daughter, 11-month-old Hathaway.
The 38-year-old had previously expressed his disappointment at the fact that ‘Past Life Lover’, which was co-composed by him and Hathaway when she was just 3 months old, was not nominated for an award at the upcoming Golden Melody Awards.
Additionally, Jay also shared that he might not be attending the awards ceremony, which will be held this Saturday, as he wishes to focus on taking care of Hannah, who has just given birth.
“I might not be able to attend the Golden Melody Awards, thank you to all my fans for their concern. It feels special to be at the awards ceremony at the confinement centre with both mother and son,” he wrote.
Two weeks ago (June 5), Hannah had held a baby shower with her friends, inciting reports that the model-actress is ready to pop at any time. Three days later, reports started circulating that she had indeed given birth as Jay had rushed back to Taipei from Shanghai, China, where he’s currently filming the new season of Sing! China, to be with his wife.
Hannah and Jay, who tied the knot in January 2015, confirmed on Valentine’s Day this year that they are expecting their second child, a boy. The couple have long expressed their wish to expand their brood after welcoming their daughter Hathaway to the family in 2015.
