Hong Kong comedienne Lydia Shum passed away on February 19, 2008 after a two-year-battle with liver cancer, and is survived by one daughter, Hong Kong singer Joyce Cheng, whom she had with ex-husband Hong Kong actor Adam Cheng.

This February marks the 10th year since the comedian has passed, and Joyce reportedly returned to her hometown in Vancouver, Canada, to visit her mother’s grave and to spend the Chinese New Year.

On February 20, the 30-year-old singer posted a picture of a bouquet of flowers placed upon her mother’s grave plaque on her Weibo, along with the caption “Don’t worry, I’m living well” and a hashtag saying “it’s been ten years”.

Upon seeing her emotional post, fans of the singer offered their encouragements and praised her for being filial. “Your mother will always be looking over you,” one fan wrote, while others expressed that the late comedienne, whom they address affectionately as ‘Fei Jie’ (Sister Fei), will always remain in their hearts.
