Julian Cheung, Anita Yuen’s 13-year-old son becomes the paparazzi’s newest victim

You can never be too careful when the paparazzi are around. Just ask Hong Kong actors Julian Cheung and Anita Yuen, whose only child, Morton Cheung, became the latest victim of their ever-prying ways.

Reports of the 13-year-old dating emerged online earlier this week, with photos of the teenager with a long-haired person huddling close together in a park. His reported squeeze was described as a beautiful girl with big eyes and flowy tresses, and was photographed speaking to Morton at length.

Soon after the reports emerged, Anita took to her Weibo account on December 11 to post a hilarious clarification.

“Sorry to interrupt. My son hasn’t seen the news yet, so I’m helping to respond on his behalf,” she wrote. “That long-haired person is male. This incident has been something that we’ve been laughing over the entire night.”

Shortly after, Morton also updated his Instagram Stories with a photo of his friend. He captioned, “Guys, to clarify, I am not dating (my friend). He is a male (and) I have a lot of friends with long hair.”

The family’s hilarious response to the reports has tickled netizens, some of whom quipped, “Who says that you can’t date the other person just because both of you are guys?” and “It must be because his parents are so easy-going that Morton seems like someone who is really easy to get along with too.”
