Li Bingbing: True love is not washing your hair

Chinese actress Li Bingbing admitted to her relationship with Chinese businessman, Hsu Wen Nan, who’s 16 years her junior, in January last year. Since then, Bingbing has not shied away from sharing pictures and updates of their relationship.

Recently, the 44-year-old recently guested on Chinese variety show, Happy Camp, where the hosts asked Bingbing herself to share three things that her boyfriend dislikes about her.

One of the shortcomings that the actress shared was that she “does not wash” her hair. Bingbing’s words incited a flurry of discussion and comments online when the episode aired, with fans expressing disbelief at the fact that the actress does not wash her hair.

On Sunday, Bingbing took to her Weibo to address the issue, writing, “What’s [wrong] with not washing my hair? [We’re] already in a relationship, do [we] still need to wash our hair just to meet? To be able to meet without washing your hair, that’s true love!”

Following the actress’s impassioned post, fans began leaving comments supporting Bingbing, praising her for being “down-to-earth” and relatable”. Some also poked fun at their own singlehood, commenting on the actress’s “public display of affection” with her boyfriend.
