After Canadian TVB actress Linda Chung posted a video of her online covering her tummy with a pillow earlier this month, many speculated that the 32-year-old had already given birth. A few days later, reports claiming that Linda’s husband, chiropractor Jeremy Leung, has taken paternity leave emerged.
Two days ago, Linda finally let the cat out of the bag by posting a picture of her baby daughter on her Weibo and Instagram accounts.
The picture showed the baby girl slumbering away while tucked into a blanket, with many fans commenting that she “resembles Linda”.
The actress also posted a lengthy caption introducing her daughter to the world, writing, “HELLO! Daddy and mummy said that everyone is very concerned about me. Finally, I can officially greet everyone! My name is Kelly. You can call me by my nickname, ‘Guaiguai [which means obedient in Mandarin]’ as well, because mummy and daddy always say that I’m very obedient.”
Linda then revealed that Kelly was a Leo baby, weighing 7lbs 5oz (approximately 3.3kg), and that she hoped for everyone to give Kelly some “growing up privacy”. She then signed off the post with a simple “LJK”, believed to be the initials of Kelly’s Chinese name.
