Michelle Chen shares a rare photo of her son

Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen has been awfully private when it comes to her little bundle of joy, nicknamed “Little Star” (Xiao Xing Xing in Chinese), ever since giving birth to the baby boy in December last year.

The only glimpse that the public has gotten of Little Star, who turned 5 months old yesterday, has been through a Weibo post by Michelle, where she uploaded a picture of the family-of-three’s hands together.

Yesterday, however, Michelle uploaded a full-body picture of Little Star onto her Facebook page, to the surprise of everyone. Even though Little Star’s face was obscured by a heart-shaped sticker, the baby’s chubby cheeks, bed-head and cute pose had everyone squealing in delight.

“520 (a term used to express love, as it sound similar to 'I love you' in Mandarin when spoken aloud), you’re five months old now, my little star,” Michelle wrote.

Additionally, Michelle and Chinese actor Chen Xiao, sent out a number of gift packages to their friends and family last week to celebrate their son’s full month.

Inside the packages, the couple also revealed their son’s full name for the first time, Chen Mu Chen. It was reported that the lovebirds had chosen this name for their son to match with Chen Xiao’s name, which means dawn.

A couple of fans also joked that Little Star’s name can also be interpreted to mean that “Chen Xiao adores Michelle Chen, Michelle Chen adores Chen Xiao,” as both parents share the same surname, “Chen”.

Michelle tied the knot with Chinese actor Chen Xiao, after dating for seven months, in July last year, on the actor’s birthday and announced that she was three months pregnant. The pair first met while filming Chinese drama The Romance of the Condor Heroes in 2014.
