Fans of Mike He were in for a double surprise on June 3 when the Taiwanese actor made a shocking announcement: he is married and has a four-month-old daughter. What intrigued fans even further was his reason for making the declaration, as he is known to be fiercely protective over his relationships and private life in general.
The 33-year-old uploaded photos of his daughter, Meibao, along with his personal identification documents, sharing that it was a good day “so we registered our marriage (since) the wind and rain can’t stand in our way!” He continued, “I’ve started a new chapter in my life, and I hope that everyone here can share our joy and send blessings to our family!”
According to reports, Mike’s wife is a non-celebrity who was his first love. They first met and started dating in high school, but they broke up after he made it big in showbiz. After 13 long years, their relationship finally came to fruition as he never forgot her and managed to win her back.
An industry source added that Mike brought his then-pregnant girlfriend to Guam after wrapping filming for Chinese idol drama Cambrian Period. She delivered their child in February, and the little one holds an American passport. The source added that the parents have plans to raise their baby in Taiwan, and will be flying back there in the near future.
