It has only been one month since Taiwanese actor turned entrepreneur Ming Dao released his new shampoo brand for sale, and the actor is already seeing great success.

According to Taiwan media reports, the 37-year-old actor made NT$200 million (approximately S$9 million) from a sale of over 300,000 bottles of shampoo.

As a reward for all his employees, Ming Dao planned to pay out NT$5 million (approximately S$225,760) worth of year-end bonuses, and will bring everyone on an all-expenses paid trip to Europe. Visits to famous restaurants awarded with Michelin Stars (hallmark of fine dining quality and restaurants awarded by anonymous reviewers) are also going to be part of the itinerary.

“Everyone worked hard the past year, and this is the result of all our hard work combined,” Ming Dao shared. “That is why all these rewards are well-deserved, and I hope that everyone can work together next year to continue breaking records.”

Ming Dao is a member of Taiwanese boyband 183 Club, and he set up his own studio in 2010.

He has also been labelled by netizens as “everyone’s husband” and “girls’ ideal type,” as he proved to be capable in many areas which include raising children and pets and being handy around the house, when he appeared on Chinese variety show Hilarious Family. His personality as a gentle yet domineering on-screen husband in Chinese variety show We Are in Love 3 also melted the hearts of female fans.
