Pace Wu gifts fiance’s mother with S$1.8 billion crystal dragon
The actress was said to have raked in S$36.4 million in the last two months
Looks like Taiwanese actress Pace Wu is making bank from her latest business venture. The 38-year-old, who became a shareholder of Excel Development Holdings Limited last November, has reportedly raked in almost HK$2 billion (S$36.4 million) in the last two months and splurged on an expensive gift for her billionaire fiancé, Ji Xiaobo’s mother.
An insider claimed that Pace splashed her earnings on a pair of 50 metre-long crystal dragons, costing HK$10 billion (S$1.8 billion), for the opening of a hotel that Ji Xiaobo’s mother had invested in.
Weighing over 18,000 kg, the pair of luxuriously designed dragon-shaped décor is covered in gold scales and two and a half million Swarovski crystals and was said to be hung on the ceiling of the eight-star resort-hotel in Saipan, an island in the Northern Mariana Islands.
One other notable big-ticket purchase Pace made would be her S$70.2 million luxury apartment, which she purchased fully in cash last September.
