Patrick Tse denies not liking Faye Wong
Instead, the elderly Tse praises Faye for making his son Nicholas Tse happy
Hong Kong actor Patrick Tse recently spoke out during an episode of the Hong Kong variety program, Number One Friend, about Nicholas’s divorce and how fond he was of ex-daughter-in-law Cecilia Cheung, creating a misunderstanding between him and son’s current girlfriend.
The 81-year-old expressed sadness at the divorce and how he missed Cecilia. He also added that she was a very good mother to her two sons and that he only had good things to say about her.
However he refused to comment and go into detail when asked about his son’s current relationship with Faye Wong. Noticeably unforthcoming on the question about Faye, as compared to his praises for Cecilia, left the public questioning if Patrick did not like Faye.
He responded by denying that assumption and further clarified that the situation was taken out of context. He later went on to praise Faye that she has made Nicholas very happy, and has changed him for the better. His mother had previously also said the same thing about Faye when the pair first got back together.
Nicholas and Faye first split in 2002 but reunited in 2014, 3 years after his divorce with Cecilia. The couple have been dating ever since.
