Sodagreen drummer Shih Jun-Wei welcomes son Sean
The Taiwanese indie band now comprises 2 fathers
Shih Jun-Wei, the drummer of Taiwanese indie band Sodagreen, shared photos on Weibo last night of his wife, Sunny, with their newborn son, named Sean.
The first-time father wrote: “Sean, we thank God for bringing you into our lives, daddy and mummy will love you forever.” Sunny also wrote: “To have you with me, everything has been worth it! And thanks to daddy for his company.”
Jun-Wei is the second Sodagreen member to become a parent, after guitarist Liu Jia-Kai had his son three years ago. Besides congratulating the new father, netizens also poked fun at lead singer Wu Tsing-Fong: “It looks like Tsing-Fong has to babysit again.”
Jun-Wei proposed to Sunny onstage at a Sodagreen concert last year, saying, “Meeting you is the best thing that’s happened to me, the two of us are perfect together.” The band are due to release their album Endless Winter next month.
