Vivian Hsu experiences the realities of motherhood

Since Vivian Hsu gave birth to her son, Dalton, back in August 2015, the mother-of-one has been showering her love and affection on her little one. She was, however, exposed to a whole new chapter of motherhood this year as he started attending preschool.

When he first started going to school, the actress shared her worries that he would be unable to adapt to school life, and admitted that she would hang around outside the school to sneak peeks at him “because I felt that he would definitely need me around”.

However, after observing his behaviour, she concluded that he was adapting well and couldn’t help but to say, “So this is what separation anxiety feels like for mothers! I feel assured now… Proud yet disappointed… What is this strange and complicated state of mind? Does anyone understand it?” Many parents who experienced the same thing commented on her post, assuring her that this phase would pass soon.

Yesterday (April 16), Vivian updated her Facebook with a video that Dalton recorded, with the caption, “Mummy was busy and was five minutes late in picking him up (from school), and he recorded this video! I’ll definitely arrive an hour before schedule next time!”

In the video, Dalton was heard saying, “I’ve finished my classes, where are you? Mummy, I love you!” Netizens cooed over how adorable the little boy was in the video, and how eloquent he was despite his tender age.
