Wang Leehom’s wife slammed for “showing off her cleavage” at Lin Chi-ling's wedding

Taiwanese model Lin Chi-ling celebrated her wedding on November 17 with an intimate party that was reported to have been attended by only 100 guests, most of whom were non-celebrities.

Among the famous faces spotted in attendance were hosts Mickey Huang and Dee Hsu, but it was singer-songwriter Wang Leehom’s wife, Lee Jinglei, who became a hot topic among netizens after photos of her dress made the rounds on the internet.

The 33-year-old, who attended the wedding on his behalf, showed up in an elegant, form-fitting navy gown, and received praise from netizens for being able to maintain such an enviable figure after having three children.

However, the attention soon turned to how “revealing” the off-shoulder dress was. The neckline showed off Jinglei’s cleavage, and some remarked that it was unseemly for her to try to steal the bride’s thunder on the most important day of her life.

One netizen wrote on Instagram, “I thought you liked to keep things low key, and I didn’t expect that you’d be so attention-seeking that you’ve become annoying. Did Lin Chi-ling attend your wedding exposing her chest like that?”

The person continued, “Please stop trying to steal (Chi-ling’s) thunder. Do you know what manners are? You’re nothing compared to Chi-ling.” The comments have since been deleted at press time.

On Weibo, Jinglei’s actions were also met with criticism. One netizen said, “Indeed, this wasn’t very appropriate. How apprioriate (a dress is) depends on the occasion. Showing off her cleavage at someone else’s wedding (is wrong). Sorry but I don’t think her family taught her the right values.”

Despite the backlash, Jinglei has kept the photo of her posing with the couple on her Instagram page, where some of her followers have sent her messages of support and praise.
