Why Lin Chi-ling ended things with Jerry Yan

put her foot down on ongoing rumours about her rekindled romance with Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan last month, when she shared that she is currently single at the moment.

According to media reports, the 43-year-old actress decided to end things with Jerry once and for all as she could no longer stand his absence during the entire saga.

Insiders revealed that Chi-ling had to face the media alone after news of their reconciliation broke out last year. She tried to meet Jerry in private to discuss the issue, but could not find him anywhere. As he remained uncontactable even as new rumours unfolded, she was eventually left feeling upset and disappointed.

It was reported that Jerry tries to avoid the media when it comes to his personal life. The 41-year-old actor will choose to date overseas to avoid the paparazzi, and will stay under the radar for the time being if news of his relationship gets picked up.

Jerry’s previous relationship with Taiwanese actress Terri Kwan was said to have ended in a similar fashion, when Terri could no longer put up with his “ghosting” habits during the relationship.

Jerry and Chi-ling’s reconciliation had been highly anticipated by many fans ever since they were spotted spending a weekend together in Malaysia. Since then, countless rumours had surfaced, with some claiming that the two had gotten married on the sly, and that Chi-ling was even pregnant with Jerry’s child.

The former golden couple reportedly dated for six years until 2006, with Chi-ling once sharing that she lost her years of youth to the actor due to the long period of courtship.
