Yoga Lin successfully proposes on Facebook

After making public his plans of settling down with his girlfriend of two years, Kiki Ting, it’s about time Taiwanese singer Yoga Lin proposed!

Last night (Nov 29), the 29-year-old wrote a touching 500-word proposal on his Facebook, “I have imagined this proposal in my head for the umpteenth time”.

“I’ve been really nervous since last night. You’ll see this in a few minutes and I will be prepared for any answer. I’ve prepared my right knee, the words that I’m going to say, and the ring that I’ve bought and hidden in my pocket. Please marry me”, he continued.

Shortly after, the singer updated his Facebook page again with a picture of the couple hugging accompanied by the caption, “She said yes”, concluding the successful proposal.

Ecstatic fans and fellow celebrity fans rushed to congratulate the two right after. “Too beautiful!”, wrote Selina Jen in the comments. Fellow S.H.E member Ella Chen also shared the post and wrote, “Congratulations to our beloved brother, I’m so touched! Yoga, you’re so manly!”, applauding Yoga for his courageous social media proposal.

Yoga disclosed in an interview the following day that he had originally intended to wed before the age of 35, but that idea soon morphed into wanting to get married “as soon as possible”. He shared that this was because he was “seduced by marriage” and the idea of “coming home to food is awesome”.

The winner of singing competition One Million Star realised that he had been thinking about becoming a father recently and wanted “a family of four”, and was even surer about their relationship after Kiki supported him through the difficult period of National Service. However, he refrained from speaking about it publicly to avoid giving Kiki any pressure.

In the meantime, details of a possible wedding ceremony are unannounced and elated fans are hoping that it will be sometime soon.

Yoga and Kiki have been dating for two years and the couple had even started living together since last year to prepare for married life. Kiki was originally speculated to have come between the singer’s previous relationship with Hong Kong singer G.E.M, but the rumours were eventually refuted by Yoga.
