Bea Hayden reported to have received over S$1 million worth of jewellery from her mother-in-law
The actress tied the knot with actor Jacky Heung earlier this month
Celebrity couple Bea Hayden and Jacky Heung tied the knot in a stunning ceremony held at the picturesque Capri Island in Italy earlier this month (September 10).
The ceremony was a private, no-photos-allowed affair, with only a handful of guests invited.
On September 20, Jacky’s mother, Hong Kong producer Tiffany Chen, who planned the ceremony, posted a few pictures of the event, giving fans an exclusive peek at Bea and Jacky’s nuptials.
Fans were quick to share the pictures, gushing over the couple's outfits. A day later, a netizen shared that Bea’s tiara, which she wore throughout the ceremony, appeared to be a pricey antique tiara that was made in the 1900s.
According to the netizen, who had trawled through a number of antique jewellery websites, the tiara was put up for auction in 2011, with an initial asking price of 30,000 Euros (approximately S$45,000). Although the tiara’s final selling price was not known, the tiara’s hefty price tag became the topic of much discussion.
Many speculated that the tiara might have been a wedding gift from Tiffany, as the producer is known to enjoy going to auctions and bidding for jewellery.
Tiffany previously gifted Bea a five-carat diamond engagement ring, believed to have been bought at an auction for close to RMB 5 million (approximately S$960,000).
Bea and Jacky first got to know each other on the reality show, The Most Beautiful Time. In January this year, they went public with their relationship, and got engaged in March this year.
The couple is slated to hold a wedding banquet in Taiwan at the end of the year.
