Married life does not feel different to Joel Chan

Joel Chan, who tied the knot with non-celebrity Apple earlier this month, gave a radio interview in Hong Kong yesterday (Nov 12), where he shared more about married life.

According to the 43-year-old actor, he’s been so busy with work that he’s hardly been able to see his new wife. Filming for his upcoming drama Running with Big Steps will continue until the end of this month, after which he will have to travel to the United States for five days. Because of his packed schedule, the couple will only be able to go on their honeymoon next year.

Fortunately, Apple has been very understanding. “She knows I have a lot on my plate and always reminds me to be happy,” he said.

When asked if his life feels any different after marriage, Joel admitted that it does not. “We dated for six years and lived together for five, so it already feels like we’re an old husband and wife,” he said. “I just need to remind myself to keep wearing my wedding band!”

In other news, it was rumoured that Joel’s ex-girlfriend Florinda Ho, the daughter of casino tycoon Stanley Ho, is seeing a 50-year-old man. While Joel denied knowing anything about this, he said that any piece of happy news deserves congratulations. However, he will not contact her in private. “I don’t want to bother anybody, and besides, I’m already married.”
