Mickey Huang attended the press conference for a campaign by Taiwan’s Child Welfare League Foundation to raise awareness against the verbal abuse of children in Taipei on Monday (Nov 18).

The Taiwanese host took the opportunity to remember his grandmother, who raised him after his parents divorced. “She was warm and encouraging, and I am very fortunate to have been brought up by her,” he gushed.

When asked about his own plans to have children with his fiancée, Taiwanese actress Summer Meng, the 47-year-old admitted that they have yet to come to an agreement. While Summer previously stated that she does not mind getting pregnant before the couple weds in April next year, Mickey admitted that he is still “a little worried” when it comes to the thought of starting a family.

“I feel that these days, parents no longer have as much control in this world, so I’m worried that I won’t be able to give my future kids the right education,” he explained, adding with a laugh, “Summer believes she will make a great mother, but to be honest, I don’t know where she gets that confidence from!”
