Newlyweds Lin Chi-ling and Akira return to Taipei hand in hand

Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chi-ling and Japanese singer-actor Akira were spotted taking the high speed rail to Taipei yesterday (Nov 18), a day after they tied the knot in the bride's father's hometown of Tainan.

The newlyweds arrived at the station hand in hand, and Chi-ling was holding a large bouquet of roses. Accompanying them on the trip was Chi-ling's older brother and parents, who appeared to be in a very good mood. Her father gushed to reporters that he's feeling a great sense of accomplishment.

Before boarding their train, Chi-ling thanked everyone around her for their well-wishes and took some time to speak to the press. When asked if she was feeling hungover from the night before, the 44-year-old laughed and said, "Actually, we didn't drink that much!"

As for whether the couple intends to settle down in Taiwan or Japan, Chi-ling patted her husband's shoulder and chuckled, "It's up to him to arrange."
