Mama to: A son (name unknown, born April 27, 2019)

Not much is known about the fiercely private actress’s baby boy, whom she had withhusband and Scarlet Heart co-star Nicky Wu, other than the fact that he was born in Taipei on April 27 and that he’s “super cute” (which doesn’t surprise us at all), according a reply from Cecilia to Nicky’s Weibo post announcing the happy news.

Their elusiveness is to be expected: the couple has been maintaining a low profile and letting work take a backseat in recent years in order to prepare themselves for parenthood, and we don't see them changing this habit anytime soon.

Mama to: Quinta (born mid-April 2019)

On April 21, just two days after Phoebe’s 29th birthday, the actress and her husband Ruco Chan announced the arrival of their first child, daughter Quinta, who was reported to have been born via C-section about a week earlier.

Phoebe has shared that the name Quinta was suggested by her younger sister, and that it was chosen because the letter Q is between her and Ruco’s own initials. She also revealed that Ruco was with her during the delivery, and that he had helped to cut the umbilical cord.

Mama to: Jacob (born March 25, 2019)

Eliza, who married her non-celebrity husband Joshua Ngo in 2016, was one fearless and devoted mum even before she gave birth to her son. At an event in January this year, when the actress was still pregnant, she shared that despite her fear of cockroaches, she would muster up the courage to kill it because she wanted her child to grow up in a clean environment.

Now that Jacob has arrived into the world, we can only imagine what other lengths the 34-year-old would go to in order to protect him.

Mama to: Feng Song Ze (born March 8, 2019)

Speculations that Zanilia was with child emerged as early as August last year, but it wasn’t until New Year’s Day 2019 when she and her husband William Feng finally confirmed the good news. On March 8, their son was bornproving all those earlier rumours to be true.

According to media reports, the boy is called Feng Song Ze, with the nickname “Bubbles”. It is said that the couple chose the name as they wish for their son to grow up to be as upright as a pine tree (Song) and kind (Ze).

Mama to: “Xiao Chu” (born February 9, 2019)

In August last year, the 36-year-old actress dropped a double bombshell when she revealed that she was four months pregnant and intending to register her marriage to director Hsu Fu Hsiang. Six months later, she welcomed their son, nicknamed “Xiao Chu”, into the world.

The sporty mum, who maintained an active lifestyle even when she was expecting(earning her the title of “The Craziest Pregnant Woman In History” from netizens), wasted no time in resuming her regular exercise regime. “Shouldn’t we return to our lives as per normal after our confinement?” she wrote. Good point.

Mama to: Gabrielle (born December 17, 2018)

According to the 34-year-old actress’s husband Wong Cho Lam, her C-section delivery of their daughter took just around 10 minutes, and happened as Jacky Cheung’s ‘Love You More Each Day’ was being played in the background.

After keeping their baby’s face under wraps for a few weeks, Leanne finally shared her first photo of Gabrielle’s adorable face on Instagram in early January, and has continued to post a few more shots since then. From the looks of the photos, it seems like the little girl has inherited facial features from both of her parents.

Mama to: Archie (born May 6, 2019)

We know, we know, the Hollywood actress is a clear deviation from our “Asian celebrity mamas” demographic, but we couldn’t resist including what could arguably be the most buzzed-about birth of the year: that of her and Prince Harry’s son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild was born on May 6, and the newly expanded royal family made their first appearance as a trio two days later to much fanfare and media attention.
