Carl Ng splashed with red paint outside his Hong Kong home

Suspect in police custody


An unidentified man threw a cup full of red paint at Hong Kong actor Carl Ng, 40, when the latter was returning to his apartment building at about 6 p.m. last night.

Carl was walking home alone when a man rushed out and attacked him with paint before escaping.

The actor entered his building to clean off the paint, which he couldn’t remove completely. He then met the police officers who had arrived to take his statement. Officers on patrol later took the suspect into custody.


Carl is the son of renowned Hong Kong comedic actor Richard Ng, 76, and he acted in three seasons of Channel 5 drama series Point of Entry starting in 2010.
