Dee Hsu praises Barbie Hsu’s newborn son

The actress-host commented that the baby had “only cried once since he was born”

Taiwanese actress-host Barbie Hsu gave birth to her second child with her businessman husband, Wang Xiaofei on Saturday night after a difficult birth, where she had to be warded in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). After getting discharged, the couple took to their individual Weibo accounts to post about their newborn son, with Barbie joking that her son looked like Taiwanese actor Daniel Wu, and Xiaofei posting a picture of their daughter carrying the 6-day-old baby.

On Wednesday, Barbie’s little sister, Taiwanese actress-host Dee Hsu went to visit the 39-year-old at her home, and revealed more about the new addition to the family.

The 37-year-old divulged that the baby boy was “extremely calm” and that Barbie herself had commented that he was “extremely obedient”, before picking him up for a kiss.

“My sister’s son is so obedient, it’s [almost] bizarre. He has only cried once since he was born,” Dee continued, marvelling at his good-natured behaviour.

Dee also revealed that Barbie had professed to be “unbiased” towards her newborn son. Barbie then added that her daughter, Xi Yue, doesn’t fight with her baby brother for attention, and even gives him a hug every day once she reaches home, leaving Dee to comment that it was completely different from her situation at home with her three daughters.

Finally, Dee shared that Barbie, who had once commented that she wants to give her son a “military education”, had changed her mind regarding that aspect. “After the baby was born, I asked Barbie if she was still considering a military education for her son. She then silently shook her head, so I believe that she’ll treat him just like how she treats her daughter and shower him with unconditional love.”
