Kai Ko lands first assignment with his father’s help
Nearly five months after the drug scandal last August, Taiwanese actor Kai Ko reportedly landed his first commercial assignment with his father Ko Yao-tsung’s help. On Tuesday, Kai walked on the runway for designer brand Porter’s latest collection.

According to media reports, Kai’s dad is on close terms with Porter’s senior management who agreed to give the actor the opportunity. Taking it as a chance to pave the way for his comeback, the You Are the Apple of My Eye star accepted the assignment with “friendly appearance fees”.

Besides pulling strings for his son, Yao-tsung also showed up to pick outfits from his own fashion label for Kai. During the event, the doting dad also helped to take photos of the actor below the stage.

While speaking to the media, Kai admitted that his dad’s presence made him even more nervous. However, the 23-year-old claimed that the job was arranged by his agency and that he is thankful for the opportunity.

Although Kai feels an “itch” to act again after watching interesting dramas on TV, he has no plans to make his small screen debut in 2015. As for his New Year resolutions, the actor hopes to accomplish the goals that he set last year – to build up his body, and to pick up free combat and singing.
