Li Yapeng’s love poem to Faye Wong still on display

Former spouses remain on good terms

A love poem written by former Chinese actor Li Yapeng, 44, for his ex-wife, singer Faye Wong, is still on display in a cafe he has invested in, according to a netizen.

“When I think of you, I smile, what else could I want? Happiness or sugar,” the poem read in Chinese.

When Faye was carrying Li Yan, her now 10-year-old daughter with Yapeng, he would compose verses for Faye every month.

The couple confirmed in September 2013 that they had decided to end their 8-year marriage. But the pair remain on good terms, and they come together to celebrate the birthdays of Li Yan and Leah Dou, Faye’s 19-year-old daughter from her first marriage to musician Dou Wei.

Faye is now back together with a former flame, Hong Kong actor–singer Nicholas Tse, leading the netizen who discovered Yapeng’s poem on display to remark that it was a bittersweet find.
