Mnet & Starship to show No.MERCY

Korean cable network Mnet and record label Starship Entertainment have teamed up to unveil their upcoming survival programme No.MERCY.

The show will pit 12 of Starship’s male trainees against each other to emerge as members of the label’s upcoming hip-hop male group.

Starship currently houses names such as K.Will, SISTAR and BOYFRIEND, with its sub-label Starship X housing hip-hop talents such as Junggigo and Mad Clown.

The trainees will be mentored by some of the industry’s finest and collaborative stages will also be included to showcase more of the boys’ talents.

A scoring system will be put in place where the one with the lowest score will be eliminated every week and those at the top will receive valuable perks that will aid them in emerging as part of the final lineup.

In other related news, Starship recently revealed that SISTAR’s Hyorin will work with Starship X’s solo artiste JooYoung for an upcoming collaboration, while fellow member Soyou topped numerous Korean charts with her duet with Junggigo ‘Some’ earlier this year.

No.MERCY will air its pilot episode on December 10 and run for 10 weeks.
