Super Junior’s Kangin & Kyuhyun take on variety shows

Super Junior’s Kangin and Kyuhyun have each been confirmed as part of the lineup for reality television shows Real Men 2 and Dugeun Dugeun (the sound of a heart beating) India respectively.

Kangin was unveiled as part of the 11-member cast that features celebrities going through daily life in the army. The remaining cast members include Boyfriend’s twins, Young Min and Kwang Min and Untouchable’s Sleepy. The other cast members come from varying professions, from a former basketball player to a chef.

The 30-year-old has completed his mandatory military duty and was discharged in April 2012. Real Men has garnered attention and has catapulted its previous cast members, including Super Junior-M’s Henry and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri to greater levels of popularity after their various charms were exhibited on the show.

Meanwhile, the second season of the female special edition also boasts a star-studded cast, including f(x)’s Amber, APink’s Bomi and actress Lee Da Hee.

Not to be left out of the variety loop, Super Junior’s maknae (youngest member) Kyuhyun was confirmed to be starring in Dugeun Dugeun India together with his close friends, also known as the Kyu-line.

The other five confirmed cast members are SHINee’s Minho, TVXQ!’s Changmin, EXO’s Suho, INFINITE’s Sunggyu and CNBLUE’s Jonghyun. While further details of what the new show will entail have yet to be released, concerns over the health and safety of the sextet have been raised by concerned netizens.

The show’s PD, Lee Yi Ji, assured that all measures have been taken to assure that the cast and crew will complete filming safely, and that the show was only given the green light after the production team completed a field study of the filming locations.

Both shows are slated to begin filming in February.
