Common will star opposite Keanu Reeves in 'John Wick 2'.
The 43-year-old rap star has been cast in a villainous role in the sequel to the 2014 action hit, which saw Keanu appear as an ex-hitman who seeks to take revenge against gangsters who break into his home.
Although plot details of the new movie are being kept a closely-guarded secret, Common will be the movies' chief villain, appearing in the role of a head of security for a female crime lord, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is due to begin shooting this week, with Chad Stahelski attached to direct the project.
But before its release, Common will star opposite Will Smith and Jared Leto in the eagerly-awaited 'Suicide Squad' movie.
And in a recent interview, Will revealed he never met Jared while working on 'Suicide Squad' because the actor was so immersed in his role as The Joker.
He said: "'Suicide Squad' is insane. I've never actually met Jared Leto. We worked together for six months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' He was all in on The Joker."
