Disclosure and Foals will co-headline this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
The chart-topping dance duo, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, will join the award-winning indie rock group and previously-confirmed headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers over the weekend of August 26-28.
The 'Latch' producers are thrilled to gain headline status at the popular weekender and were amazed as the last time an electronic music artist led the line-up was The Prodigy, who played more than a decade ago.
In statement, the pair said: "We're incredibly excited to be co-headlining Reading and Leeds with our good friends Foals. We've been going to Reading festival since we were kids and have played at both festivals several times, but never in a million years did we think we'd be at the top of the line-up, especially considering there hasn't been an electronic headliner since The Prodigy in 2002! Truly honoured."
And Foals - which includes Yannis Philippakis, Jack Bevan, Edwin Congreave and Walter Gervers - have been waiting for the day to come for a long time, and hope their journey to headliner status will inspire other musicians.
Yannis said: "We're absolutely buzzing to be headlining Reading & Leeds this year. It's a dream come true. I used to watch Nirvana live at Reading '92, on VHS , repeatedly while dying my hair blue and learning how to play guitar, badly.
"We've worked our way up on our own terms and to be given the chance to headline one of the world's most iconic festivals is a huge achievement for us and hopefully a sign for all bands, that, if you stick to your guns and focus on what matters, you'll get there and smash it. Onwards and upwards friends. Long live the guitar band."
Other acts added to the bill include Jack Ü, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club, Fetty Wap, Crystal Castles, Parkway Drive, The Internet and Nothing But Thieves.
