Justin Bieber "lost [his] purpose".
The 'Boyfriend' hitmaker - who has had a number of brushes with the law in the past year - admits there was a time where he struggled to figure things out but insists there's "light at the end of the tunnel" now.
Speaking at a Q & A, he said: "I lost my purpose, and I wanted to just be light and let people know that whether you don't feel like you have a purpose, whether you're just trying to figure it out, there's a light at the end of the tunnel."
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old star previously admitted he let fame get to his head.
He shared: "I had a bunch of blind spots. I just didn't see them. I had a lot of people telling me I was awesome all the time, and you start believing it after a while. You can't really blame me.
"I'm a kid and if you start telling a kid you're amazing and you're this and that all the time. It just went to my head.
"I think now, just having the friends that I have, and having the community that I have to support me and encourage me, it's just been a cool ride."
