Lily James will star opposite Ansel Elgort in 'Baby Driver'.
The 26-year-old actress - who is best known for her portrayal of Lady Rose in the British period drama series 'Downton Abbey' and as Cinderella in the latest live action Disney remake - has taken on a lead role in the upcoming action comedy which focusses on a young getaway driver as he becomes involved in a doomed heist, reports The Wrap.
'The Fault In Out Stars' actor Ansel Elgort will play the driver while details surrounding James' part are yet to be released.
The movie will be helmed by Edgar Wright who has directed comedies including 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Sean of the Dead'.
Lily will next star in 'Adam Jones' alongside Bradley Cooper and Jamie Dornan, and will play Elizabeth Bennet in 'Pride And Prejudice And Zombies' with Douglas Booth, Suki Waterhouse and Matt Smith, which is set for release on February 19 next year.
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty recently revealed she had created a "shrine" to Cinderella in her bedroom after being told by the movie's director Sir Kenneth Branagh that she needed to come up with a backstory for her fairytale alter ego.
Lily - who created an elaborate display dedicated to the princess in her bedroom - said: "Ken wanted a backstory so he talked to me about stuff like, 'What does she have for breakfast? Does she sleep with the blinds open or closed?
"My wall at home was covered in pictures and quotes that made me think of her, so I woke up in the morning and saw her.
"I'd get really embarrassed when friends came round and saw my shrine to Cinderella."
