Taylor Swift has donated $50,000 to a young cancer patient.
The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker's attention was called to the plight of 11-year-old Naomi Oakes - who was recently diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and will be treated in hospital for six to nine months - via a video shared through social media and she has donated the huge sum to the youngster's GoFundMe page after hearing about how disappointed her fan is not to be able to attend her concert in Phoenix, Arizona, next month.
Taylor wrote on the page: "To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I'm sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let's focus on getting you feeling better. I'm sending the biggest hugs to you and your family."
And a video was later uploaded of Naomi seeing the 25-year-old singer's message for the first time, in which the youngster admits she thinks she will "pass out" from excitement.
The clip shows Naomi sitting in her hospital bed with a huge grin on her face as she looks at her phone.
Making the rest of the room laugh, she excitedly says: "I can barely breathe.
"I seriously think I'm going to pass out."
