Will Young had a visitation from a dead friend.
The 'Joy' singer learned about "visualisation meditation" while on a fasting retreat and finds the experience of seeing spirits bathed in "golden light" gives him a feeling of "complete goodness" that only being on stage comes close to replicating.
He said: "I went on a fasting retreat in and we did visualisation meditation and ever since then I've done.
"It's all about the light, and some people that have passed away. I had a friend who passed away two years ago, Jo McCormack, she did all my A&R for all my records, this is the first record she hasn't done and it was really hard to not have her around.
"And immediately when she died, she popped up, and they're bathed in light, they've just got like all around.
"I can't explain the feeling, there's no feeling in life really, apart from being on stage, actually I would say, from this complete goodness that comes from it. It's really weird. I didn't take it from the visualisation, it's just happened.
"I didn't think about it, which is why I love it, because it's just sort of weird, it's just happened, that they have this light, and for some reason they've always got this golden light. "
Will is very in touch with his spiritual side and finds it beneficial to practice yoga every day.
He told BANG Showbiz: "We come from stars. I do (practice yoga every day) at the moment now. I got through a block. There was a block, so I stopped meditating because I didn't want to get through it but I did and now I do it every day."
