Radio Star 2017 winners with the Mediacorp DJs

Six contestants battled it out at the Radio Star Finals 2017 yesterday, after weeks of competition. The final six left standing are Shanice Hedger, Tia Guttensohn and Sophie Gollifer, who are the finalists for Class 95, Jasmine Chia, Ann Nicole Ng and Samuel Wong, who are the finalists for 987.
The six finalists started off with a partnered game to show off their hosting skills before they were tested on their creativity and delivery in a game where they had to pick a given item randomly and sell it as anything other than itself.
The highlight of the event came when singer Bebe Rexha serenaded the 300-strong crowd with a couple of her hit songs in an acoustic session. Fans got more than they bargained for when Bebe began throwing cake at them after the crew surprised her with a mini celebration on stage for her upcoming 28th birthday next week.
Tension filled the air at The Kilo Lounge when it was finally time to crown the winners. Ann Nicole and Sophie went home the winners of Radio Star 2017 of 987 and Class 95 respectively and both winners walked home with a cash prize of $1,000 and an opportunity to be on-air after undergoing training.
Other notable former Radio Star contestants include Sonia Chew and Kimberly Wang from 987.
