Two weeks after he was found unconscious due to a suspected drug overdose, BIGBANG member T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun) appeared in court today, during his first trial session, and apologised for his actions.

T.O.P pleaded guilty to all four charges of consuming marijuana – two for smoking and two for consuming it in its liquid form.

The 30-year-old said: "I'd like to apologise to the people whom I have disappointed over this case, and offer my most sincere apologies. I was too stupid.

"I have been suffering from depression and insomnia for a long time," he said, adding that he committed this irrevocable mistake under circumstances when he was "not stable."

South Korea idol group “BIGBANG” member T.O.P appeared in court as a defendant on June 29.

"I'm embarrassed too, for disappointing everyone and I promise to never allow such a thing to happen again," he said.

Prosecutors recommended that he be put on probation for two years with the possibility of a 10 month prison sentence if he violates the terms of his probation. He will be sentenced on July 20.

According to Korean media reports, the female trainee, Han Seo Hee, whom he smoked marijuana with was sentenced to four years of probation on June 16, during her first trial session. She allegedly smoked marijuana four times between October 4 to 9 at the BIGBANG’s member home, and had purchased the marijuana.
