South Korean group BIGBANG will officially have four out of five members serving the army after today (Mar 13).

Following group leader G-Dragon (GD)’s enlistment last month, fellow member Taeyang enlisted yesterday, and is the third member to enlist in the group.

When Taeyang turned up at the recruit training center in Kangwon-do Chulwon yesterday, he appeared to be in good spirits, and greeted all the fans who were there to see him off.

Unlike GD who chose to start his military service in a quiet manner, Taeyang was seen waving goodbye with both arms in the air, and even demonstrated a deep bow as he bade the media and the public goodbye, promising to “return safely”.

BIGBANG member Daesung, despite being one year younger than the two, has also

decided to follow their footsteps and voluntarily enlists today.

He turned up ahead of his reporting time at the recruit training center in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province where he was set to spend five weeks of basic training. Revealing his buzz cut for the first time, he expressed love for his fans and promised to be back.

As shared by the band’s music label, YG Entertainment, previously, the band’s youngest member Seungri will join the rest in the army after wrapping up promotions for his Chinese movie Love Only and releasing a new solo album sometime in the first half of 2018.

While BIGBANG is on temporary hiatus until the members complete their mandotary service, fans of the group (VIPs) will be able to look forward to new music, as their new track ‘Flower Road’ is set to release at 5pm SGT today.
