Rain and Kim Tae Hee tied the knot today in a private ceremony in Seoul. It was attended by fellow celebs such as Park Jin Young, PSY and g.o.d member Park Joon Hyung, along with friends and family of the couple. All guests were only informed of the wedding venue this morning, and the only nugget of information that they previously received was that it would take place in the afternoon.

The pair has expressed their wish to keep the wedding a low-key affair, but the location of the wedding, reported to be Gwahedong church in Seoul, was discovered by reporters who flocked to catch a glimpse of the power couple. Security was extremely strict and only invited guests were allowed onto the premises.

The couple is reported to be the richest in the industry, with their combined real estate value estimated at a staggering KRW 50 billion (approximately worth S$60.6 million). This includes a building worth about KRW 26 billion (approximately worth S$31.5 million) and a villa estate valued at KRW13 billion (approximately worth S$15.8million) in the high-end neighbourhood of Cheongdamdong.

Lyrics of Rain’s latest title track, ‘The Best Present’ have also been commended by netizens as a touching tribute to Kim Tae Hee, with lyrics such as “You’re the best present this world gave to me”, “On your fourth finger; on top of that ring; I promise you forever; everything” seen as a declaration of love to his wife.

The couple started dating in 2012 and confirmed on the first day of 2013 that they were dating. Both stars have been fiercely protective of their private lives. They confirmed on January 15 that they would be tying the knot.

Their honeymoon will be held at a later date, with sources suggesting that it could be because of Rain releasing his recent studio album, which is also his first in three years. The couple also did not reveal where they will be staying, and that they have no immediate plans for children.
