Song Ji Hyo reveals why she cannot date Kim Jong Kook

The elderly lady expressed disappointment after Ji Hyo clarified that she and her Running Man co-host were simply good friends, on a recent episode of South Korean reality program My Ugly Duckling.

“It seems that she (Ji Hyo) does not like Jong Kook. After eight years of working on television together, there have only been scandals and nothing more than that,” she lamented.

Flustered by the elderly lady’s comment, the 36-year-old actress, who was on the show as a guest star, hurriedly explained, “We are not allowed to mix our feelings into our work.”

She added that the cast always fight and quarrel while filming Running Man, hinting that it would be hard for them to fall in love under such circumstances.

My Ugly Duckling follows the daily lives of celebrity bachelors, and has a panel of commentators and the bachelors’ mothers commenting on the footage of their sons.

Ji Hyo guested on the latest episode as a special host, and amused audiences through her interactions with the celebrity mums on the show, who were all vying for her to be their future daughter-in-law.
