Jung Hae In has had such a busy work schedule lately that it’s taken a toll on his body.

When the South Korean actor landed in Taiwan for his fan meeting last Friday (Oct 11), he made a quick and wordless exit from the airport, wearing a mask to cover his face - a stark contrast from his usual cheerful self.

The 31-year-old explained the reason for his behaviour at the fan meeting on Saturday (Oct 12). “I wanted to greet everyone properly, but I wasn’t feeling very well,” he said, apologising to everyone.

But he more than made up for it at the fan meeting. Besides singing songs, playing games with fans, and giving them the chance to get up close and personal with him, Hae In also made a candid confession.

“I’m someone who has quite a serious personality, so I’m constantly worrying that people might find me boring,” he said. “Plus, since everything I say here needs to go through an interpreter, I’m afraid that you will find me even more uninteresting!” However, fans put his fears to rest by shouting, “It’s okay!”

Hae In also shared an anecdote from the set of his most recent drama One Spring Night. “I had to act like I was in a video call with someone, but I didn’t actually have somebody on the other line to talk to,” he recalled. “It was so difficult! I made so many mistakes that even the child actor playing my son couldn’t take it any more!”
