Lee Joon Gi attended a Longchamp event in Taipei on May 15. Although he had visited Taiwan many times before, this was his first time at Taipei 101.

Hundreds of spectators had gathered at the venue to catch a glimpse of the South Korean actor, and as soon as he showed up outside the store, they screamed and cheered to welcome him.

Joon Gi, a known expert at fan service, shouted “I love you” to the adoring crowd. “I don’t feel like entering the store - let’s just hold a fan meeting right here and now!” he quipped. When he got inside, he posed in front of the photo wall for 40 minutes, allowing the press and fans alike to snap pictures of him with abandon.

During his interview with the media, Joon Gi shared that the passion of Taiwanese fans has always left a deep impression on him. “They’ve supported me for over 10 years,” he gushed. “It feels like a relationship that has surpassed just love - it’s like a kind of loyalty!”

When asked what dishes he hopes to try during his stay in Taiwan, Joon Gi revealed that as he usually has to rush back to Korea right after his events, he has never had a chance to really explore the place, so he is not very familiar with what it has to offer. “I would love for fans to arrange a tour for me to better understand Taiwanese culture,” he said.

As for his own style philosophy, he admitted that he doesn’t really have one, although he personally favours hip hop and street fashion.
