Lee Seung Gi has been very, very busy since being discharged from the army about two years ago.

In addition to starring in dramas A Korean Odyssey and the upcoming Vagabond, the multi-hyphenate has taken on a number of hosting and variety show gigs, including Master in the House and Produce 48.

Last month, it was announced that Seung Gi will be hosting a new variety show with Taiwanese actor Jasper Liu, although not much else has been revealed at the moment. “I’m also curious to see how Jasper and I will overcome our language barrier,” he admitted during a press conference ahead of his Taipei fan meeting on July 20. “But please look forward to our bromance!”

The 32-year-old is also set to show his fatherly side in Little Forest, a variety show which features him running a daycare centre with two other artistes. In a recently released teaser clip, he is seen rocking a baby to sleep in his arms. Although he looked like a complete natural, he admitted that it’s actually not easy taking care of such a young child.

“This is completely different from any other variety show I’ve ever done, so you can look forward to seeing a side of me that’s never been shown before,” he said. “Mothers are amazing!”

Also challenging, albeit in a different way, was shooting spy drama Vagabond, which he reported was the most physically demanding project he has ever taken on as there were lots of chasing and fighting scenes. However, he praised his co-star Bae Suzy for her professionalism, which helped him get into the right state of mind for work.

“We received professional martial arts training for two months before filming began,” he shared. “I have a whole new respect for action films. I used to just watch them casually with popcorn and soda, but from now on, I will watch them with brand new eyes.”
