NU’EST delight and impress fans at Taipei concert

South Korean boy group NU’EST brought their Segno world tour concert to Taipei last Saturday (Sep 14) and delighted the 4,500-strong audience with live performances of songs both old and news.

“It’s been such a long time since we met our L.O.Λ.E!” gushed member JR, referring to the official name of their fandom (pronounced “love”). “I’ve missed you all so much and I’m very happy to see how enthusiastic everyone is. We spent a lot of time preparing for this concert.” Minhyun also expressed his joy at seeing so many fans at the concert, and shared that he hopes to be able to convey his feelings through their music.

In addition to group performances of hits like ‘Bet Bet’, ‘Hello’, and ‘Love Paint’, each member also had the chance to shine in the spotlight with solo stages. The quintet even prepared a special cover of Jay Chou’s ‘Love Confession’ as a surprise, impressing everyone with their Mandarin pronunciation.

After their encore performance of ‘A Song for You’, it was clear that JR could not bring himself to leave the stage, quipping, “If we talk for one hour, does that mean we get to spend an extra hour with each other?” Unfortunately, the time for goodbye came much sooner than that, but not before Baekho promised (in Mandarin) that they will be back to see each other again.
