January 27 is likely to be a date that Wanna One fans will never forget.

That was the day when the K-pop group held their very last concert, Therefore, in Seoul as a final farewell before they disbanded. Wanna One, which consists of the top 11 contestants from reality show Produce 101 Season 2, was never meant to be a permanent one. Right from the start, fans and members alike knew that the boys would have to go their separate ways sooner or later.

While Singapore wasn’t blessed enough to be able to bid our goodbyes to Wanna One before they disbanded, we were lucky enough to have had them perform here thrice throughout their one and a half years together. The last time was in September 2018 during HallyuPopFest 2018.

Fast forward half a year later, and we could hardly believe our ears when we heard that former Wanna One member Ong Seong Wu would be making his way back to Singapore for a gig. We knew that it would be only a matter of time before the members of this hugely popular group would return, but we didn’t quite expect that it to be this soon. Not that we’re complaining, of course.

Held at ZEPP@BigBox last Saturday (April 6), Ong Seong Wu 1st fan meeting Eternity Tour in Singapore was the last stop in his current tour, and the 23-year-old pulled out all the stops to ensure that by the end of the night, everyone in the audience left with huge smiles on their faces.

Seong Wu, who has yet to release his own solo album, delivered on every account despite not having any tracks to call his own.

One of our favourite moments was when he had to perform the choreography to a random list of Wanna One’s hits (‘Beautiful’, ‘Day By Day’, ‘Energetic’ and ‘Burn It Up’ were the songs played), and he pulled it off perfectly until ‘Burn It Up’ came on and you could see the short moment of panic while he tried hard to recall the dance moves from that particular part of the song.
