Rak-Su in with a strong chance of claiming the top spot

Rak-Su had five songs in the top 10 of the iTunes chart. After winning 'The X Factor' at the weekend, the four piece - made up of childhood friends Mustafa Rahimtulla, Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland and Myles Stephenson - shot straight to number one with their original winners' charity single 'Dimelo', which features Wyclef Jean and Naughty Boy. On Tuesday (05.12.17), the original version of the track - without the rapper and producer featured on it - is at number three below Ed Sheeran and Beyonce's 'Perfect', while their song I'm 'Feeling You' is number four, fifth is 'Mona Lisa' and 'Mamacita' made it to number six. So they have a pretty strong chance of doing well.

Stormzy's bid for No1

Stormzy is hoping to bag a Christmas number one with his gospel song 'Blinded By Your Grace - P2' featuring MNEK. The 24-year-old grime star managed to get to number eight in the festive official UK singles chart with 'Shut Up' last year, but he's spruced up the track, which sees the rapper showcase his soulful tones backed by a choir, in an attempt to be the festive champion. Last year, the 'Big For Your Boots' hitmaker lost out to Clean Bandit, who nabbed the number one with 'Rockabye' featuring Anne-Marie.

Elbow's Golden Slumbers

Elbow have covered The Beatles' 'Golden Slumbers' for the 2017 John Lewis Christmas advert. The 'One Day Like This' group's frontman Guy Garvey provided the vocals on the track, which was originally penned by Sir Paul McCartney after he came across the score for the soothing 17th century children's song 'Cradle Song' at his father's house in Liverpool, for the high street store's annual campaign. Guy's dulcet tones can be heard over a farting and snoring monster as the tale of seven-year-old Joe, who strikes up an unlikely friendship with the seven-foot beast called Moz, who keeps him up all night snoring, unfolds.

A campaign to get AC/DC to Christmas number one was reignited following the death of founding member Malcolm Young. The 64-year-old guitar legend tragically passed away last month - following a lengthy time living with dementia - and fans of the iconic metal group flooded the owners of the 'AC/DC for Christmas No.1' Facebook page, with requests to reactive the petition to get them at the top of the charts this festive season with 'For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)'. In 2013, 'Highway to Hell' was the track fans wanted to see at number one. However, it only made it to number four, and was beaten by 'X Factor' winner Sam Bailey and her cover of 'Skyscraper'.

Gregory Porter stated: 'Its not Christmas till you smell the chestnuts roasting on the open fire! 'The Christmas Song' is a true classic, and for me, Nat King Cole's version is the definitive. I have fond memories listening to it as a child and to record it in tribute to Nat, is no doubt the best gift I will receive this year.'

Clean Bandit were crowned Christmas number one last year

Last year, Clean Bandit were number one with 'Rockabye' featuring Anne-Marie. They were followed closely behind Rag 'n' Bone Man's 'Human' at number two and 'Just Hold On', the debut solo single from One Direction star Louis Tomlinson produced by Steve Aoki, in third position. It proves that it doesn't have to be a festive number to make it to the top at Christmas.
