Local band The Sam Willows are flying the Singapore flag high, after breaking into Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list under the Entertainment and Sports category.

The quartet, which was founded in 2012, is the only Singapore musical act mentioned this year, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Korean singer CL (with whom they shared the stage with at last year’s MTV Spotlight @ Hyperplay concert) and Taiwanese singer-actress Nana Ouyang.

Billed as Asia’s next generation of leaders, the list features 300 entrepreneurs and game-changers handpicked by Forbes, after much research and vetting. The prestigious list features 23 Singaporeans this year, from The Sam Willows, to national bowler Shayna Ng.

The Sam Willows consists of Benjamin Kheng, Jonathan Chua, Sandra Riley Tang and Narelle Kheng. The band recently dropped the music video for the track ‘Thirsty’, off their second studio album, ‘I Know. But Where’, on February 14.
