Joanne Peh, Qi Yuwu and family spend Chinese New Year in Guangzhou

The celebrity family spent their Chinese New Year in Guangzhou, China, ushering the new year in a different way. As Joanne shared in her caption, it's been a hectic few days, as she tries to strike a balance between her personal life, and caring for both Baby Qi and Qi Didi. Luckily for her, the two kids have since found a new game to occupy themselves – picking up "small durians" and arranging them around the trees.

Fann Wong and Zed Lee share a moment, but what about Christopher Lee?

Fann Wong, Zed and Christopher Lee look more than ready to tuck into their meal, but of course, no meal is complete without a quick picture (or video) for the 'gram. The little moment Zed and Fann shares at the end of the video is way too cute but poor Chris seems to have been left out. Oops.

Zed has a fun-filled Chinese New Year

Apart from tucking into a sumptous Chinese New Year meal with his parents, it looks like Zed got up to plenty of fun and games during the holidays as well, from taking his much-loved lion dance headgear out for another performance, to playing with an array of different coloured sparklers.

"Who has this talisman, I need it very much," Chan Tianwen wrote in his caption, accompanying a picture of a talisman which read, "Talisman for (the owner) to never gain fat (despite) eating as they wish".

Pretty please, let us know if you manage to get hold of one too!

Dalton hams it up for the camera

Dalton's expression is super #relatable. After all, other than the food and feasting, aren't the red packets one of the things we look forward to the most when we were younger? With the way the 4-year-old is clutching his precious red packets to his chest, we reckon Dalton would agree with us.

Here's a hint: the 'kid' in the grey shirt queueing up for red packets looks a little familiar.

Shen Momo takes on a dog triple his size... and wins?

Ok so this isn't a fight persay, but it sure is cute! Just take a gander at Momo's shocked expression after the dog does a little shimmy. We've replayed this video so. many. times.

Aww...

This would've been just another photo, but our hearts melted after reading the comments section, in which Dennis Chew told Wong Jinglun that his co-star, Hong Ling, "may look wild, but she's actually an innocent girl at heart, and that "she still needs much care". Aww...

Romeo Tan ruminates on life and work

"My responsibility is to make sure that my own part is done well. Do it well, not for the sake of anyone else, but for the past me, at the start (of this journey). (Even if I) win someone or lose to someone, so what.

As long as I can ask myself every night, before I sleep, "Did I do better than the previous day?". As long as the answer is yes, then (I've) aleady won over yesterday's me.

The world is so big, time will not stop just for us. So, there's no need to worry about the future me, as long as I fulfill my present duties well, it's enough," Romeo wrote in his caption.

Well said.

How our local stars reacted to the news of their Star Awards nominations on Instagram

From Shane Pow's 'Are you for real?' expression, to Michelle Wong's musings of gratitude and happiness, our local stars took to Instagram to share their reactions upon finding out that they were nominated for this year's Star Awards. Many shared the same opinion – that it was more than enough to be nominated, and that the win was not as important to them.

Looks like multi-hyphenate Jay Chou just can't seem to resist the charms of his daughter, (or should we say, his lover from a past life?). But we agree, little Hathaway is just too cute!

The actor's wife, local actress Xiang Yun, as well as their two kids, Chen Yixi and Chen Yixin, took to Instagram to share posts wishing Edmund a happy birthday. Yixi chose a major #throwback photo of his dad, while Yixin and Xiang Yun opted for a number of pictures from their vacation last year.

Though her youngest son, nicknamed 'Little Prince' is conspicuously absent from the photos (we reckon the 3-month-old won't be up for a mountain hike either way), Cecilia Cheung's recent posts of her hiking trip with her two oldest sons, Lucas and Quintus is super heartwarming.

As Janet Hsieh shared in her caption, baby Egan still hasn't quite figured out that not all items work well as something to hide behind, particularly clear items. However, we're all the more glad for ìt, seeing as it gave us these pictures of Egan being particularly cheeky.

The celebrations don't stop for Jack Neo

Last week, the film director celebrated his 60th birthday with a party, which was attended by a host of local celebrities. This week, apart from Chinese New Year, Jack also celebrated the full month of his little grandson, who, we confess, look a little confused by all the festivities.

"Paige said that we have a couple face," Elvin wrote in his caption, agreeing with the actress. But, what's this we spy in the comments? Fellow actor Thomas Ong seems to have waded into the fray, commenting, "You said the same thing to me hor...," tagging Paige as well, to which Elvin replied, "I think you heard wrongly lah, she just trying to be nice to you".

So, are you #TeamElvin or #TeamThomas?

Tracy Lee mourns the passing of her husband, Ben Goi

Former actress Tracy Lee's husband, businessman Ben Goi, passed away in the wee hours of the morning on February 4 (Monday). Later reports confirmed that he had suffered a stroke, which led to a brain haemorrhage. After his funeral, Tracy posted this picture, with a caption that paid tribute to her husband.

"Same smile in different way," she wrote in English, before continuing on in Chinese, "(We're sharing) the same smile, despite being in different places. Hubby, I love you. Thank you for giving me this home. Thank you for loving and caring for me and (our) little treasure. Let's make a pact, to meet again in Heaven. When that happens, please give me a big hug again."

Tracy and Ben tied the knot in September 2017 and welcomed their only child, a son named Ben Junior, last May.
